I've been doing family tree research for well over a decade. I've done family trees for friends, just for fun. I've answered questions, found lost family branches, and even helped a friend find his birth father. I've also researched the family trees of the people who owned my house, The Parsonage Inn, and learned a lot about their lives in my home.
When I have free time, I love to do historical research, especially if someone has a need to know. Thus, this is what Dutch Root is for.

Who was first in Missaukee County?
Most every history about Missaukee gets it wrong. Family legends get passed down as if they were history, and the stories get repeated, sometimes for decades, as if they were true. But historical documents, physical evidence, and the testimony of those who lived it set the record straight when taken together. Who was in Missaukee first? You'll have to read to find out! Download the Second Edition PDF and learn the truth. |
